Reddere, pronounced ‘Red-de-re’ is the Latin for “to give back”
I (Nick Adlam) help charity leaders tackle their biggest issues pro-bono, leveraging a network of experts to help
What is Reddere?
I help busy Charity leaders face into their biggest issues (with help form other experts too)
I work on c. 50 pro-bono charity projects each year and support charities tackling key issues around Strategy, Transformation, management, leadership, Marketing, Organisation and Fundraising. I also call on a network of experts with similar skills (but different mindsets) as well as experts in matters outside my experience including: Legal, finance, digital, tech, brand, HR, Impact & Bid writing.
I see charity leaders continue to face many challenging issues, whilst running very hard just to keep their charities on track. Even if charity leaders can find the time, they can struggle to get good help for 3 reasons which i try and solve ...
No time...
Challenges defining the problem
...becomes focused thought
I package your issue into a 1-2 day support project
Inaccessible...
Challenges finding relevant people
...becomes access to expertise
I complement my experitse with other experts
Expensive...
Challenges in funding the advice
...becomes a near-free solution
Pro-bono time, with a £300 contribution to costs
How does Reddere work?
I package up your issue into a 1-2 day projects (spread over weeks) to get on top of your issue in a sequence of steps
Not every charity needs all the steps, sometimes just Defining and Scoping is enough. For some charities needing more help a 4th step is available
1. Defining
A 15 minute consultation with me to define the issue you need addressed and package it into a proposal for 1-2 days support
A 60 minute discussion on the issue with myself and i often call on up to 3 experts with differing backgrounds to add fresh perspectives to better shape your thinking
1-2 days of support typically through face to face workshops with follow-ups over a period of weeks as needed. I'll do the work myself or draw on experts where I lack relevant expertise
If desired I (and the experts) can provide ongoing support on a paid or pro-bono basis as mutually agreeable
Who are Reddere experts?
I call on a network of experts with diverse expertise to offer fresh perspectives as well as broadening capabilty
I support around 50 charities per annum personally on a pro-bono basis. However i recognise that fresh perspectives can help so i call on a curated group of experts. Furthermore, these experts can bring knowledge on a broader range of subjects to help ensure you get the right support
These experts come from a range of experiences to offer multiple perspectives on issues, helping charity leaders make more informed decisions. Their collective expertise along with my own covers: Strategy, Transformation, management, leadership, Marketing, Org, Fundraising, Legal, finance, digital, tech, brand, HR, Impact & Bid writing.
Their broad backgrounds cover:
Some Consultants
skilled in defining problems and logically solving them
Some Professionals
deep experience in a specific skill (e.g. Strategy HR, finance)
Some Charity savvy
understand the sector and draw from similar situations
Some Corporate savvy
commercially minded offering new/different ways to think on an issue
What does Reddere cost?
I am not profit focused, a contribution of up to £300* toward operating costs is all i will ask
I and all the experts i work with work on a pro-bono basis
We all agree to give up to 2 days pro-bono work on any project (worth thousands of pounds)
We can extend engagements by mutual agreement on a continued pro-bono or paid basis (at discounted rates) as appropriate if needed
I operate on a very light cost base and only asks for a contribution to cover those costs:
To cover operating & travel costs i charge £300, nothing else. I do have access to funds to lower the fee for smaller charities.
A small contribution is key to commitment (having prepared and travelled to run workshops for charities that had been forgotten more than once)
